Nicki is a highly experienced psychologist who has been working in the field for over 25 years. She is also the director of the Northwest Psychology Practice. In recent years she has had a particular interest in understanding and working with neurodiverse folks. Her current focus is offering neuroaffirming autism assessments for teens and adults. She recently completed tertiary studies to ensure that her approach is based on the latest research and evidence based practice.

She has a particular passion for assessing people who have ‘fallen through the cracks’ - those whose autism or ADHD was not recognised when they were young, but who are now coming to understand that they may be neurodivergent.

“There are a whole cohort of adults (especially women) whose ADHD or autism was not recognised in childhood, but who continue to be very much affected by it. Seeking a diagnosis in adulthood is a brave thing to do. Finding out the truth can be a relief. It can also bring with it questions about what that means for your life going forward. It is my goal to offer an assessment service that supports you and honours your experience.”
